Mildred L. "Millie" Brewer, 73, of Westminster, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born April 18, 1936, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Kathryn Martin Thomas and Guy L. Brewer Sr.

She was the Apple Pan Dowdy Queen in Carroll County in 1952. She was a 1955 graduate of Westminster High School. She was an operator and dispatcher for the C & P Telephone Company for 35 years before retiring. She was a past president of the ladies auxiliary of Westminster fire company. She was also a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Telephone Pioneers and was a former member of Women of the Moose. She enjoyed the Westminster Senior and Community Center, bingo and baking. Surviving are brothers and sisters-in-law Kenneth T. and Ann Brewer, of Palestine, Texas, Guy L. Jr. and Doris Brewer, of Silver Run, Ron and Lynette Brewer, Marvin J. and Linda Brewer, Eugene D. and Renee Brewer, Mark L. and Laurie Brewer, and Laurie Brewer, all of Westminster, Earle H. and Sharon Brewer, of Littlestown, Pa., Richard L. Brewer and companion Peggy Storm, of Hanover, Pa., and Dean A. and Roxanne Brewer, of Union Bridge; sisters and brothers-in-law Donna Rickell Green and companion Timothy Bauerlien, and Dolly A. and Norman Long, all of Westminster; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a niece, Leigh Ann.

Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
