Born in Fort Wayne, Ind., she was a daughter of the late Wendel Wilson and Irla Tobias Chaffin. She was retired from the accounting department of the former Fidelity National Bank and later became a realtor with Century 21. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Wendel Chaffin, and one sister, Charlotte Price.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, in The Commons at Westminster-Canterbury, 501 VES Road, Lynchburg, with the Rev. Sherwood Smith officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service. Interment will be in the Pocket Presbyterian Church cemetery, Sanford, N.C., at a later date.
