She was the eldest daughter of Alvin Durham Lottridge and Ellen Jane Sears Lottridge. She married her 4th cousin once removed Ellis David Milks of Valley Falls. They had one daughter Margaret Loduska Milks. It is thought Emma and Ellis were either separated or divorced as the lived most of their lives apart. Ellis David Milks is buried with his family in Elmwood Cemetery in Schaghticoke and Emma is buried here with her family. Their daughter Margaret married Judson Leo Puffer and she died in Old Lyme, CT on 09 Jan 1965.
