Thelma L. Smith, 79, died of cancer Friday in Edgewood Convalescent Home, Edgewood. She was a retired nurse's aide.
Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Bailey of Cedar Rapids; a son, Everett Hansel of Strawberry Point; a stepdaughter, Velma Culbertson of Edgewood; two stepsons, Floyd of Edgewood and Chester of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Opal Harbaugh of Guttenberg and Berniece of Cedar Rapids; a brother, DeWayne Harris of Dubuque; 11 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren.
