Joseph Cyphert was the second child of Philip Cyphert 111 and his wife,Elizabeth Marie.He was born in 1817 in Pa.In 1849 or 41,Joseph married Maria Klinger(also spelled Mariah Klinger or Mary Clinger),born in 1825. The couple had nine children,Augusta Amanda(1841-1852),Samuel Oskar(1844-1907),John A.(1845-1925),Elizabeth Anna(1846)who died at 2months of age,Maria Catherine(1847-1849),Ellena Jane(1850-?),Wm.Albert(1855-1940),Ellicum Annem(1884) who lived only six weeks,and Alice Samantha(1868-?) As of 1880,the couple was living in Jefferson Co.with their youngest daughter,Alice,still at home Mary Clinger Cyphert died in 1884 and is buried at the Catholic Cemetery,Corsica,Pa. Joseph died in 1909 at Hicks Run,in Pa. Clearfield Co.He is buried at the Catholic Cemetery in Corsica.
