Albert E. Nielsen, 75, died November 17, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born July 8, 1920 in Spring City, Utah to Emil K. and Eva Taylor Nielsen.

His early childhood and teen years were spent in Provo, Utah, where he graduated from Provo High School in 1939. Married Norma Kerby on June 4, 1941 in the Manti Temple. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1942, and served during World War II as a Chief Petty Officer. Also served his country during the Berlin Call Up. Member of the Utah Highway Patrol 1941-1952. Worked for Kennecott Copper for 24 years, 17 of them as Chief Security Officer-mine plant, retiring in 1982.

Member of the LDS Church, serving in many capacities: MM Coach, Springville Ward; Elders Quorum presidency and Sunday School presidency, Midvale 1st Ward, and a life-long home teacher. Presently a High Priest, Midvale 2nd Ward. Volunteer and member of the Midvale Senior Citizens Council for four years, most of this volunteer time spent on the Midvale County and State Legislative Councils.

Survived by wife, Norma; daughters, Linda Nadean Mortenson, Provo; Berdene Nash, West Valley City; five granddaughters; 14 great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the Midvale City Cemetery, 450 West 7500 So. Friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Midvale.
