Rose Ann (Lawson) Curry was named "Rosa" at birth. She was the oldest child of Joseph Reece and Margrette ("Maggie")Elizabeth (Combs) Lawson. Her grandparents on her mother's side of the family were James Wesley and Mary Jane (McCrary) Combs.
Rose A. Lawson was received into the Longwood Presbyterian Church on profession of faith in Christ on September 28, 1902
Rose married Miles Monroe Curry, Sr. 23 December 1902 at Longwood, Mo. in Pettis County. They had 10 children; Lily, Hugh, Anna Mae, Miles Monroe, Jr., Nellie Grace, Pearl Marie, William Joseph, Catherine Elizabeth, Mirian Irene and Russell Lee. Russell Lee was born 01 December 1924 and died 13 December 1924.
Rose died 05 January 1949 at home on 4th Street of an apparent heart attack. She was buried 07 January 1949 at Longwood Cemetery in the Curry family lot beside her infant son, Russell Lee Curry.
