Mrs. Margaret Ellar Howell, 86, Huntsville, died February 3 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born October 26, 1889, at Purdy, she was the daughter of Marcus and Mary Morris Spradling and the widow of Alfred D. Howell, who died in 1948. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence Howell, Siloam Springs, Wilbert Howell and Bea Howell, Huntsville; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Rogers, Canton, Ga., Mrs. Kate Horine and Mrs. Madine Hasty, Huntsville; four sisters, Mrs. Eva Smith, Broken Arrow, Okla., Mrs. Bonnie LeBow, Springdale, Mrs. Meda Smith and Mrs. Pearl Bolinger, Huntsville; 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, February 5, at 2 p.m. in Brashears Funeral Home Chapel, Huntsville. Burial was in Big Sandy Cemetery under the direction of Brashears.
