He was a retired cook. He graduated from Olney HIgh school and Weatherford Junior College. He had lived in Wichita Falls for 15 years and was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Wichita Falls.
Survivors: one brother - Jim Brown of Olney; two sisters - Gladys Bailey of Olney and Edna Ashlock of Wichita Falls; nieces and nephews.
