His 2nd son was Martin L Stahl born abt 1873 and in 1927 was living in Steubenville, OH where he was a Principal in the school district there.

J. H. Stahl Dies At Home In Moro
Veteran of Civil War was Widely
Known in Madison County
J. H. Stahl, one of the older residents of Moro, a member of a widely known family of that vicinity, died Saturday evening at 11:45 o'clock at his home. He had been in ill health for several years.
Mr. Stahl was born in Pennsylvania and had attained the age of 86 years, 9 months and 2 days. He lived in Pennsylvania until after the Civil War when he settled near Moro and has since resided there. His wife preceded him in death in April 1896.
He is survived by two sons, H. T. Stahl of Moro and M. L. Stahl, a principal in the schools at Steubensville, Ohio. There is one brother S. D. Stahl of Oklahoma City, and two sisters, Mrs. John Hilton of Bunker Hill and Mrs. Nancy Moore of Granite City.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Moro Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in the Moro Cemetery.
