James flew on aircraft B-24D #41-24225. James was a Sharpe High School stand-out and University of Kentucky Basketball Star Center. James was 1st buried in Pferdorf, Krauthausen, Germany in Pferdsdorf/Rhon Cemetery grave # 202, but later reburied in 1949 in Fooks Cemetery. James married Helen Moore.
