Barbara Elizabeth (Wickliffe) Foster was born in Benton Co., on Nov. 23, 1873, the daughter of John Thomas and Lavinia Wickliffe, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Wills in Warsaw, Jan. 24.
On July 22, 1894, she was united in marriage to John Albert Foster in Benton County, and they lived on a farm in the Edwards and Forthview communities until 1942 when they moved to Warsaw. Mr. Foster passed away May 17, 1949.
They had 8 children. Surviving are: Mrs. Pearl Pauline Wills of Warsaw; Emmitt Henry, Climax Springs; John Luther, Warsaw, and Ira Earl of California. Four children preceded her in death: Elmer E., George Homer, Myrtle May, and Carrie Bell. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Mrs. Foster and her husband, John, were united with the Fredonia Baptist Church early in life.
