DeWayne L. Baldwin, 68, of Coldwater, formerly of Quincy
died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at his home.
DeWayne was born on June 26, 1936 in Ionia Twp, MI to Leonard & Caroline (Weadbrock) Baldwin
Mr. Baldwin married Marylou Bercaw on August 14, 1993 in Coldwater.
DeWayne worked for many years at various places as a groundskeeper, including Waffle Farm Campground in Coldwater. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the US Army. Roger has lived in the Branch County area for most of his life. He belonged to the Quincy American Legion, Fremont Moose Lodge and was actively involved with the Quincy I.O.O.F where he enjoyed helping with Bingo.
Mr. Baldwin is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
DeWayne is survived by his wife Marylou, daughter Kathy & Brad Austin of Angola, IN, grandson Tony & Tracia Cuyler , great grandson Tony Cuyler, Jr. all of Portage, sister Leota Baldwin, niece Vera Parker both of Ionia, sister-in-law Betty Bercaw of Union City.
Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, April 1, 2005 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. A special ceremony by the Quincy I.O.O.F will be held at 12 Noon.
The service will be held on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home with Pastor Angel Rojas from the Church of the Holy Spirit officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
