Fannie V. Hobbs was the daughter of Albert W. and Elizabeth Hobbs of Chesterfield Co., VA. and the widow of Fred Taylor. They had four children, among them a son, James Frederick Taylor, born in 1876. She worked as a grocer on the main road near Boisseau Ave., Ettrick, VA. in 1905 according to the Petersburg City Directory.
