The son of J.M. Blanton and Drucilla Blanton, he was born in Johnson County, February 26, 1890,and had been a life-long resident of Swamp Branch,where he engaged in farming.
Mr. Blanton is survived by his wife, Melvia Blanton, and two daughters, Mrs.Fred Ramey, Tero,Ohio and Mrs.Robert Hackworth,Riceville.Also surviving are four sisters,Callie Blanton,Leander; Mrs.Delva Click,Swamp Branch; Mrs.Lon Lemaster,Collista and Mrs. Clifford Blanton,Greenwich,Ohio.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm, Sunday, June 1 at the home with Scott castle, Charlie Lemaster as officiating ministers.
Burial followed in the family cemetery.
