PORTLAND - Pauline S. Bogh, 98, died Thursday, April 15, 2010. She was born April 24, 1911, in Biddeford, a daughter of LeRoy and Daisy (Stalker) Smith. She graduated from Thornton Academy in 1931, and then perused courses at Boston University, University of Maine and Purdue University where she was an organ pupil of Dr. Alfred K. Brinkler. Mrs. Bogh had been a secretary at Thornton Academy, Saco, 1930-1946; had been a secretary at Deering High School, 1946-1949; administrative assistant to the superintendent of Portland schools, 1949-1974; and until her retirement, had been a consultant to the Portland school department, 1974-1975.
She was a member of Chestnut Street United Methodist Church and had been a church organist for more than 60 years.
Her husband, Peter C. Bogh, died in 1984.
She is survived by a niece, Janet Fifield of Brunswick; several other nieces and nephews. She also leaves her special friends, Bob and Betty Brown and family; and her many sisters and brothers of the Eastern Star.
Burial will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco. (Bangor Daily News 4/16/2010)
