Journalist. A war correspondent for Reuters. He is best known for his story about -"The Romeo and Juliet of Sarajevo" - a Muslim girl Admira Ismic and Serb boy Bosko Brkic, who were shot trying to escape the Siege of Sarajevo - they died in each others arms, and lay in street for 4 days, before the shooting stopped and their bodies could be recovered. Half of his ashes are buried next to their heart shaped headstone. The other half reside with his mother Margaret. He was killed in an ambush in Sierra Leone and along with photographer Miguel Gil Moreno.
