New Jersey Assemblyman. He was first elected to the state Assembly in 1965 and served until 1972; again elected in 1986 until 1988 and a third time from 1992 until 2006. In 1972-1973, he served in the state Senate. He was a retired Navy captain of 42 years of service and successful businessman in Monmouth County. In 1999, he was influential in bringing the battleship, USS New Jersey making it a Museum & Memorial on the Camden waterfront along the Delaware River.
