Mr. Hammack proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army.
He was a member and raised in the Pond Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Leander First Baptist Church.
Mr. Hammack was preceded in death by his son, William Monroe Hammack, III.
He is survived by his wife, Larrie Hammack; children, Blenda Wilson and husband Tommy, Greg Hammack and wife LuAnn and Clay Hammack and wife Ida; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Bonnet and husband Mac; brother, Lloyd Hammack and wife Wanda; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Beck Funeral Home, Cedar Park. Interment will immediately follow in Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, Texas.
Memorials may be made in memory of William Hammack to Scott & White Hospice or the American Heart Association .
