Jessica Rose Webb, 25, of Dupont, died Thursday February 10th in Wilkes Barre. Born on August 25, 1979 in Scranton, she was the daughter of Mark Allen Webb, Dupont and Mary Babiarz Webb, Clarks Summit. She was a 1997 graduate of Pittston Area High School , where she was in their chorus and orchestra. She won the Scholastic Art Award as a senior in high school. She attended LaSalle University in Philadelphia and earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Systems from Wilkes University in 2001. She was formerly employed by Cigna of Moosic and was a member of the Moosic Alliance Church, Moosic. Her beloved dog "Digby", was her heartfelt companion.
Jessica Rose was an avid swimmer and also played volleyball & soccer. Her musical interests were broad and she loved playing the piano, violin, and clarinet . Also surviving are her paternal grandparents Oscar, Jr. and Ellen Alberta Smith Webb, Moosic and maternal grandparents Edward and Florence Lazorik Babiarz of Avoca. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. Cremation will take place in the Maple Hill at Salem Crematory, Archbald.A memorial service will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 P.M. in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with services by the Rev. Nathan D. King, Pastor of the Moosic Alliance Church, Moosic and the Rev. Donald T. Strope, Pastor of the West Pittston Christian Missionary and Alliance Church in West Pittston. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until service time. Interment of her cremains will be at a later date at the convenience of the family in Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst.
