Alvin L. "Bill" Lamb, 67, of Hollister died last night at a local Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Lamb came to San Benito County in 1969 after retiring from the construction business in Merced County. He also had worked as a truck driver.

Mr. Lamb was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion in Livingston, Merced County.

He was born in Yellow County, Ark.

Mr. Lamb is survived by his wife, Bonnie, also of Hollister; two daughters, Emma Lee Lamb and Barbara Bisceglia, and a son, Richard Lamb, all of Hollister; three sisters, Gladys Reece of San Jose, Lena Williams of Winton, Merced County, and Ruby Goldston of Idaho; two brothers, Calvin Lamb of Coulterville, Mariposa County, and Dolphus Lamb of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grunnagle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Hollister.

Alvin "BILL" Lamb, beloved wife of Bonnie Lamb of Hollister, loveing father of Emma Lee Lamb, Barbara Bisceglia, and Richard Lamb, all of Holister; sister of Gladys Reece of San Jose, Calvin Lamb of Colterville, Ruby Goldston of Idaho, Lena Williams of Winton, Ca., and Dolphus Lamb of Oklahoma; grandfather of Christie Lamb, Marcia Lamb, Anthony Bisceglia, and Tammie Bisceglia, all of Hollister.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nehews.

A native of Yellow County, Arkansas; age 67 years.

A veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Army, and a member of the American Legion Post of Livingston, Ca.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, January 24, 1984 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of the GRUNNAGLE FUNERAL HOME, 870 San Benito St., Hollister.

Officiant, Rev. John Amelio of the Glad Tidings Church in San Juan Bautista.

Interment will follow at the Veterans Section of the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
