Catherine's maiden name was Adams, born to Capt. Samuel Henry and Rebecca Graves Adams, on 4 Jan 1659, in Chelmsford. She married John Rayner, of Charlestown. This information is from the following: Adams, Andrew N. A Genealogical History of Henry Adams, of Braintree, Mass., and His Descendants: Also John Adams, of Cambridge, Mass., 1632-1897.
