PUCKETT,, JUDY KAY ALLRED Age 51, formerly of Plano, died in Paris, TX on Thursday, Sept. 28th, 2006. Funeral services are set for Saturday, Sept. 30th, at 2:00 p.m., at Bright-Holland Funeral Home in Paris with Rev. Chad Minne officiating. She will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jack Graham officiating at interment services. The family receives friends on Friday, Sept. 29th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born in Dallas County, Texas, on October 13, 1954, the oldest child of Billy Joe and Katy Skidmore Allred. She attended school in Garland, Lucas, and McKinney, graduating from North Lamar High School in Paris 1973. On August 30, 1975, she married Randy Puckett in Paris. She received her Associate in Science degree from Paris Junior College in 1986, and in 1990 her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from East Texas State University in Commerce. She was employed by Raytheon in Plano as a Senior Applications Technologist. Because of ill health, she moved to Paris in December, 2005, working from her home until July, 2006. She was a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of North Texas and, because of her volunteer involvement, received the 2005 Member of the Year award. Survivors include her son, Jeremy, daughter-in-law, Misty, and grandson, Brady Puckett of Lavon; mother, Katy Allred; sisters, Carolyn Fields and Jan Barnes; and brother, Joe Allred all of Paris; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Judy's sister, Jan, plans to participate in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Race for the Cure in Dallas on October 21, 2006.
