Actor. Born in Centralia, Illinois, he used the stage name Oliver Blake, appearing in scores of film and television roles. In the 1920s, he began his career performing on stage as a fixture at the Pasadena Community Playhouse. For feature films, he was best known for playing the character of 'Geoduck' in the Universal Studio’s "Ma and Pa Kettle" series. His many other film credits included “Casablanca” (1942), “Inside Job” (1946), “Moonrise” (1948), “Julius Caesar” (1953), “The Long, Long Trailer” (1955) and “The Fear Makers” (1958). For television, he appeared in “Space Patrol”, “Lassie”, “Maverick”, “The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin” and “Zorro”. He died at age 86 in Los Angeles, California.
