Enlisted in Company G, Massachusetts 58th Infantry Regiment on 26 Mar 1864. Died of disease on 27 Jul 1864 at Andersonville, GA.

Note: 1) Pvt Blanchard is actually buried at this cemetery. There is a memorial marker at Old North Cemetery, North Weymouth, Norfolk, Massachusetts. 2) I had somewhere along the paperwork, saw this soldiers name as 'Otisfield'. When I went back to research, I'm not seeing this information. If I run into this documentation I will think better to save it; but for now, I have changed his name back to 'Otis'.
