Mrs. Wolleson Dies This Morning

Mrs. Emma Wolleson died this morning at 10 o'clock at the home of her son, A. W. Wolleson, 114 West 12th Street. She had suffered a paralytle stroke last week. Mrs Wolleson was born in Island Fahr [Fohr], North Sea, Germany, June 9, 1859 and had been a resident of Ashland for the past 31 years.

She is survived by her son and three daughters, Mrs. Clara Hockensmith of Lexington, Mrs. Anna Van Scoyoc of Mansfield and Mrs Bertha Neikirk of Tiffin. Other survivors include 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, one son and one sister, Mrs Mary Banks. [Mrs Mary Banks is actually her daughter]

Mrs. Wolleson was a member of the German Lutheran Church at Little Washington, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2 pm at the Heyl Funeral Home on Broad Street with Rev. W. F. Koepplin, pastor of Peace Lutheran Church, in charge. Burial will be made in the Ashland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Emelia Anderson and Andrew Wolleson married in Germany in 1873. They came to America on 3 December 1878. In 1904, Andrew and Emelia divorced in Richland County, Ohio. Emelia married Nicholas Shaffer on 31 December 1904 in Richland County, Ohio. Not sure when they divorced but Nicholas Shaffer marries for a third time in March 1909.
