Morris J. Lucree, 82, Punta Gorda, died July 18, 2002. He was born March 31, 1920, in Savannah, Ga., and came to the Charlotte County area in 1972 from Laurel, Md.
He was a retired Army colonel and served during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a life member of the Retired Officers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth; brothers William of Las Vegas, Nev., the Rev. Lawrence of Columbus, Ga., and John of Savannah; sons Larry of Springfield, Mo., Robert of Fayetteville, Ga.; and daughters Janet E. of Fayetteville and Dr. Diana of Reno, Nev.
Local services are private, and burial will be in Andersonville National Cemetery in Georgia. Kays-Ponger/Royal Palm Funeral Home, Punta Gorda Chapel, is in charge. Published in Herald Tribune on July 20, 2002
