Esther "Ruth" Snouffer of Mountain Home died Wednesday (May 6, 1998) at Cox Medical Center South. She was 74.
Mrs. Snouffer was born March 9, 1924, at Marion, Ohio. She was a daughter of Leo and Ethel Saunders Rutledge. She married Charles Snouffer June 3, 1950, at Ashley, Ohio. She was a house-wife. Formerly of Columbus, Ohio, she had lived at Mountain Home since 1988. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ava, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Snouffer, three sons, Charles E. Snouffer and wife, Gail, of Columbus, Ohio, Gary L. Snouffer of Marysville, Ohio and Chuck Snouffer and wife, Judy, of Boerne, Texas; three daughters, Sharon K. Kinnaman and husband, Asa, of Rolla, Mo., Carol Ann Smith and husband Rod, of Columbus, Ohio, and Laurie J. Hannaford and husband, Tracy, of Mountain Home; one brother, Damon Carroll Rutledge and wife, Jean, of Squires, Mo.; three sisters, Dorothy Tracy and husband, Don, of Springfield, Ohio, Ruby Traucht and husband, Dale, of St. George, Utah, and Judy Ward and husband, Bill, of Delaware, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
