Mrs. Mary Jane Rice, 81 year old widow of Eugene Rice, died early Friday morning (infirmities of age the cause of death) at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Kensinger in Strykersville. Mrs. Rice was born January 14 in Erie County, she was the daughter of William and Jane Burns McCabe of Ireland. Mrs. Rice is survived by her daughters, Mrs. William Parker of Styrkersville, Mrs. Jacob Kensinger of Strykersville, Mrs. William Langworthy of Alden, Mrs. Eva Siefert of East Aurora and her four sons Claude Rice of Gainesville, Harry of Attica, George of Barker, Benjamin of Cowlesville, 36 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren. The funeral service took place Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter where she died. Burial was in Strykersville.
