A lifetime resident of Ellis County, she worked in the St. Anthony Hospital laundry department, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays.
In 1922, she married Peter J. Leiker at Munjor. He died May 5, 1936.
Survivors include: a son, Norbert, Denver; four daughters, Henrietta Dinkel, Ellis, Nellie Giebler and Effie Bissing, both of Hays, and Mary Miller, Menasha, Wis.; a brother, Victor Pfannenstiel, Topeka; two sisters, Monica Staab, Victoria, and Beata Denning, WaKeeney; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays, with Fathers Carl Kramer and Brad Sterrett presiding. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hays Memorial Chapel, Hays. Burial will be in Our Lady Help of Christians Cemetery, Antonino.
