Charles A. 'Chuck' Snouffer, 82

A funeral for Charles A. "Chuck" Snouffer, 82, of Mountain Home will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home. Mr. Snouffer died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2004.

Military honors will be by North Central Arkansas Veterans Council with honor guard by American Legion Alley-White Post 52. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Snouffer, Eddie Snouffer, Jason Snouffer and Trace Hannaford.

Mr. Snouffer was born Sept. 20, 1921, at Columbus, Ohio, the son of Leslie and Catharine Morgan Snouffer. He married Esther Ruth Rutledge June 3, 1950, at Ashley, Ohio. He was a maintenance supervisor in the public school system before moving to Mountain Home from Columbus in 1978. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and enjoyed repairing things.

He is survived by three sons, Charles E. (Gail) Snouffer of Columbus, Gary L. Snouffer of Richwood, Ohio, and Chuck Snouffer of Boerne, Texas; three daughters; Sharon K. (Asa) Kinnaman of Rolla, Mo., Carol Ann Smith of Columbus and Laurie J. (Kerry) Inskeep of Mountain Home; 16 grandchildren, including Megan Moseley of Little Rock and Marleah Hannaford of Mountain Home; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
