Funeral services for Russell M. Holland, 96, of Mountain Home, Ark., were held Friday,June 24 at Kirby-Boaz Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain Home, with Bro. Tim Martin officiating. Burial was in Custer-Herron Cemetery.
Mr. Holland died June 21, 2005, at his home. He was born May 1, 1909, at Howards Ridge, the son of France and Angeline (Anderson) Holland. He married Eloise Holloway Feb. 12, 1941, at Udall.
He was a security guard for Rimco Manufacturing and lived in Rock Island, Ill., prior to moving to Mountain Home in 1977. He enjoyed car auctions, fiddling old-time gospel music and gardening. He was a member of College and North Church of Christ.
Mr. Holland is survived by two sons, Charles Holland and his wife, Jean, and James ?J.C.? Holland, all of Mountain Home; four grandchildren, Nathan Holland and Ryan Holland, both of Little Rock, Ark., Amanda Vitense and her husband, Jason, of Oaks, N.D., and Tracey Anderson of Bossier City, La.; and three great-grandchildren, Nicholas Holland, Kyle Holland and Cody Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise; his parents; one brother; and three sisters.
Pallbearers were Nathan Holland, Ryan Holland, Marvin Hodges, Richard Kemp and Bill McGoldrick.
