Robert A. Wells, 80, Noble, IL, died at the Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.
He was born Aug. 7, 1900, in Wayne County to Samuel & Nettie Smith Wells.
He married Gertrude L. Thomann on March 6, 1928. She survives.
Mr. Wells was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, a son James A. Wells; a daughter, Peggy Boxell of Olney; grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, two half-sisters, and two half-brothers.
Services were at North Freedom Church with burial in North Freedom Church Cemetery.
