Ralph was the son of Aleri Eugene McCulley and Mary Caroline Cargill. He had two sisters, Hazel and Elinour. His wife named Thelma Bloom. He married her on February 14, 1924. They lived in Pendleton until 1942 when they moved to Tacoma, Washington. From there they moved to Carbonado, Washington where Ralph was the first Mayor from 1942-1954. He had two sons, Donald Lewis and David Charles. He was a sawyer and had worked in several mills in the area. He had worked at the Rainier State School in Buckly five years before retiring last October. He was a member of Cascade Lodge 61, F&AM, South Prarie; International Wood Workers of America, and Eagles Lodge in Wilkeson, and a member of the State Employees Union at Buckley. He is buried in the Mausoleum in the BLOOM family area. (which was his wifes family)
