Herman Harrison, Jr., 78, of Dresden, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. Private memorial services for Mr. Harrison will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at Gardner Cemetery in Martin.

Mr. Harrison was a self-employed handyman. He was also a United States Army Veteran. He received the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze campaign stars, Artillery, United National Service Medal, and Army Occupation Medal. Mr. Harrison was a Baptist by faith. He was born in Hickman County, Kentucky to the late Madie Cornwell Harrison and Herman Harrison, Sr.

Mr. Harrison is survived by three daughters, Teresa McMinn of Martin, Debbie Morris of Union City, and Lorie Harrison of Dresden; two sisters, Pauline Harrison of Decatur, Illinois, and Lois Essary of Dresden; and a brother, Bill Harrison of Dresden.
