Felix Rigau Carrera was the first pilot of Puerto Rican descent to fly for the military. He served in the Marines, Air Force, and the Navy.

In the service to his country, he used his father's last name of Carrera as is the custom in the US. After he left the service, he reverted to using his mother's last name of Rigau, which is the Puerto Rican custom.
