B.F. Gates, 69 years old, pioneer citizen of the Hudson Community died at his home Monday following an illness of several months. Mr. Gates condition became grave last Friday when he was stricken with paralysis from which he never regained consciousness. He was a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church where funeral services conducted by the Rev. Buckens were held and interment made in the church cemetery. Mr. Gates is survived by his wife and six children, two sons, W. N. and Charlie Gates, four daughters, Mrs. S.N. Vines, Mrs. L.N. Vines, Mrs. C.O. Edger and Miss Angie Gates and fourteen grandchildren.
