J.R. Briscoe, 56, died early Saturday morning at his home at Indian Ridge, Grainger county. Burial took place Sunday morning in Indian Ridge cemetery. He had been a school teacher for 30 years. He is survived by his widow, a young daughter, by his mother, by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Medlock, of Missouri, ad Mrs. Nannie Coffey of Grainger County and by five brothers, J.F. and W.E. Briscoe, of Yokama, Wash.; B.E. Briscoe of Wilcov. Ariz. and M.D. Briscoe of Grainger county.
