She was born Jan. 23, 1916, in Altoona, the daughter of Roy and Mary (Burkhart) Wysong. She was twice married, first to Samuel Nofsker, who preceded her in death. Then she married Kenneth R. Stiffler.
Mrs. Stiffler was a member of the Smith Corner Independent Mennonite Church, East Freedom.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Evelyn Nofsker Smith of Fairfax, VA; two sons, Raymond K. Stiffler of Altoona, and Carl E. Stiffler of Duncansville RD 1; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
STIFFLER - Services for Helen M. Stiffler will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the Smith Corner Independent Mennonite Church by Pastor Roy S. Kifer. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Sorge Funeral Home, and from 4 to 5 p.m. Monday at the church. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles W. Nofsker, and a grand-daughter, Angela Nicole Stiffler. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Smith Corner Independent Menonite Church piano Fund.
