Mrs. Henry Aiken Sr. Passes On
Mrs. Henry Aiken Sr., who had been critically ill for several weeks, passed on last Saturday night at her home near Brownsville, southwest of Elk City. She was 81 years of age and had been in failing health for some time. The funeral was held today, conducted by Rev. A. A. Horner, and burial was made in Oak Hill cemetery. Funeral services were delayed pending the arrival of children from Montana. Mrs. Aiken had lived in this vicinity for many years and had a wide circle of friends. She was a good woman and her passing has brought sorrow to many besides her immediate family.

Mrs. Margaret Aiken was born at Elkhart, Ind., August 27, 1845 and died at her home near Elk City, November 28, 1925, aged 80 years, 3 months and 1 day. She was married to Henry Aiken on April 15, 1866. To this union were born twelve children; three of whom have passed on. She is survived by her husband and nine children: Buford, Puyallup, Wash.; Herbert, Orofino, Idaho; Henry, Havana, Kans.; Homer, Elk City; James, Becket, Mont.; Frank, Butte, Mont.; Mrs. A. W. Stingley, Heath, Mont.; Mrs. C. Ridenour, Bartlett, Kans.; Mrs. Emmett Teney, Havana. One brother, Elias Tawney, of Olathe, Kans. also survives. Mrs. Aiken became a member of the Methodist church at the age of fourteen years and remained a member to the end.
