Judson Henry Lloyd, 87, of Big Spring, died on Friday, January 27, 2006, in a local hospital.

He was born on April 28, 1918, in Comanche, Texas and married Velta Childers on June 16, 1949 in Lamesa, Texas.

He moved to the Knott Community in the early 1930's and to Big Spring in 1946.

He served over seas in the United States Army during World War II.

Mr. Lloyd worked as a mechanic and retired in 1987.

He loved gardening and tending to his pecan trees.

He was the last surviving sibling in his family and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Velta Lloyd of Big Spring; two daughters & sons-in-law, Lynda and Dee Elrod of Big Spring and Kathy and Phil Laurence of Abilene; one son & daughter-in-law, Robert and J'Nevelyn Lloyd of McAllen; three granddaughters, Laura Elrod of San Antonio, Leslie Elrod of Big Spring and Stephanie Lloyd of Belton; two grandsons, Alan Lloyd of McAllen and John Laurence of Abilene; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
