Harry, who resided at 7 Albury Avenue, Georgetown, Delaware, served as an Ensign in the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II.

Harry was the Co-Pilot of PB4Y-1 #32235, 113th Bombing Squadron, Fleet Air Wing Five, which took off with 10 on board, from Waller Field, Trinidad, British West Indies on a ferrying mission to England. For an unknown reason the pilot turned north instead of south and crashed into a mountain side 6 1/2 miles north of Waller Field. All those on the plane died in this crash.

Harry was "Killed" in the "Line Of Duty" in this crash during the war.

He had served in the Navy for one year and ten months at the time of his death.
