Robert Lee DeLay, 71, of Lone Oak passed away April 12, 2010, at Hunt Regional Medical Center.
A military graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hooker Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Atkins officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville.
Mr. DeLay was born Oct. 10, 1938, in Littleton, Ark., to Nathan and Rosa Akins DeLay.
On Dec. 28, 1971, he married LaRue Holmes in Wichita Falls. He was a retired master sergeant, aircraft mechanic from the U.S. Air Force. He also retired from L-3 Communications. He was a member of the Baptist faith and a member of the VFW/DAV.
Survivors include his wife; sons Harold DeLay, Thomas DeLay, and Robert DeLay Jr.; daughters Rose Beggs and husband Kevin, April Mexia and fiancé B.J. Jones, Sally Rose and husband Vernon and Julie Farr; brothers Charles, Harold and Floyd DeLay; sister Margie Good; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl DeLay and sister Patricia DeLay Hicks.
