Several weeks following the death of his son, Merwin S. Quincy, Willis M. Quincy, 81, of 919 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd. died Tuesday night at Lake County Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Quincy was born Feb. 9, 1873 in Mentor, a son of the late David and Jane Kelley Quincy, and resided in Painesville and Mentor all his life. He had been in poor health for some time. He retired three years ago from his work at the Cole Nursery Co.

Mr. Quincy was a member of the Mentor Knights of Pythias Lodge more than 50 years. His son, Merwin Quincy, died June 17.

Surviving are his wife, Jessie Snell Quincy; a daughter, Mrs. George (Sara) DeVaull of University Heights; a sister, Mrs. Ehrick P. (Emma) Burridge and two brothers, David and George, of Mentor; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Minnie Ruth in 1923.
