James Milner rites held last Saturday

Last rites for James Vasco Milner, age 62, were held Saturday, September 11 at the Liberty Chapel Methodist Church. Rev. Clarence Burden of Winona officiated.

Mr. Milner died suddenly Thursday at his residence after suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Milner was a member of Beery Baptist Church in Attala County.

Mr. Milner is survived by his wife, the former Miss Elizabeth Boyette of Winona; one daughter, Mrs. Loree Cloninger of Winona; seven sons, James Clifton Milner, Alton G. Milner, Marvin A. Milner, and Billy Wayne Milner all of Jackson, Warren Milner, Albertville, Alabama, Rev. G. W. Milner, Clinton, Texas and Jerry Lee Milner of Winona; three sisters, Mrs. Hettie Jones and Miss Ruby Milner both of Chatham, Louisiana and Mrs. Inez Veazy of McCool; one brother, Walter Milner of McCool and 14 grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were P. J. Milner, Don Milner, J. D. Milner, William Kimbrough, Carl Vance and Fred Milner.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.
