Kidder, Mary Ann, née Pepper, who was born in Boston, Massachusetts, March 16, 1820, is the author of "Lord, I care not for riches" which was put to the music of Frank M. Davis in 1876 and known as the hymn "Is My Name Written There?" published in 360 hymnals. She also wrote "We shall sleep, but not for ever" which was put to the music of S. George Shipley in 1858. Both hymns are in I. D. Sankey's Sacred Songs & Solos, 1878.
