Services for Phillip Earl "Phil" Barnes, 47, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating.
Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes died Aug. 25, 2008, in Dallas.
He was born Jan. 31, 1961, in Bozeman, Mont. He grew up in Winnsboro and lived in Tyler for 25 years. He was a utility designer with TXU Energy, and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his son, Wesley Lane Barnes, Highland Village; daughter, Sydney Danielle Barnes, Highland Village; father, C.T. Barnes, Tyler; mother, Monique Harrison, Surprise, Ariz.; brothers, David E. Barnes, Albuquerque, N.M., and Donald R. Barnes, Sachse; sister, Caroline Harrison, Phoenix, Ariz.; and former wife and mother of his children, Ashley Barnes, Highland Village.
Family will receive friends 6-7 tonight at the funeral home.
