Amite River Church, Amite County, MS, for which the cemetery is named. The cemetery can be seen behind the church in the far distance. The setting is idylic and so peaceful and serene. Photo was taken by Bettiann White Lloyd, great-granddaughter of Henry Lafayette White, in April 1994.

Amite River Church Cemetery, behind the Amite River Church, on Powell Road in Amite County.

Directions: Take Greensburg Road south out of Liberty, MS., (opposite direction from the Civil War Memorial in Liberty). Go approximately 9 miles to fork. Right at fork to Marey Chapel where paved road ends. Go right on gravel road (runs past John Powell place) 2.4 miles to little white wooden church on right. Cemetery is behind the church.
