Services for Ralph Douglas Warren, 88, of Chandler are scheduled for 1 p.m.. Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Saint Matthias Episcopal Church (205 Willowbrook Drive), Athens, with Father Donald Perschall officiating. Masonic Graveside services will follow in Athens Cemetery under the auspices of Athens Masonic Lodge No. 165 A.F. and A.M.

Mr. Warren died Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Tyler.

He was born Aug. 22, 1921 in Henderson County to the late Ralph Sutton and Minnie Pearl Pitts Warren.

He married Lela Smith Aug. 3, 1963.
Mr. Warren had resided in Chandler since 2000, and formerly lived in LaRue from 1981-2000. He lived in Baytown until retiring from the Exxon Corporation in 1981. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Air Force where he was part of the Quartermasters Corps. He was a member of Saint Matthias Episcopal Church in Athens, was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a Shriner and a 60-year member of the Blue Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lela Warren, Chandler, sister, Wilma Bennett, LaRue, niece, Linda Reed, Henderson, great niece, Lisa Davidson, Henderson, great nephew, Vernon Reed, Longview, great-great nephews, James Davidson, John Davidson, both of Henderson, Caleb Jackson Reed, Longview and a host of wonderful friends.

Pallbearers are Edward Davidson, James Davidson, Roger Reed, Vernon Reed, Jim Chaffin and Bob Nelson.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Kenneth Lemmon and Dr. Joe Mike Murphy.
