Deceased Name: Robert H. Bomke
PLEASANT PLAINS - Robert H. Bomke, 93, of Pleasant Plains died Friday, Nov. 17, 2000, at St. John's Hospice.

He was born June 18, 1907, in Farmingdale, the son of Albert and Anne Gubler Bomke. He married Virginia A. Bumgardner in 1942.

Mr. Bomke retired after farming in Gardner Township and was a member of the Sangamon County Farm Bureau. He was inducted into the Sangamon County Farmers Senior Hall of Fame in 1998.

Survivors: wife, Virginia; a son, Arthur (wife, Carol) Bomke of Vancouver; a daughter, Ann C. (husband, John M.) Charland of Springfield; three grandchildren; a sister, Anna Bloechle of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.

Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Bisch Funeral Home, the Rev. Thomas Christell officiating. Burial: Farmington Cemetery in Farmingdale.
